Both sites are ran by the Tango Wire network of dating sites, which runs more than 30 separate online dating sites, devoted to a range of specific interest. A little bit of research however, does illustrate that most of the Tango Wire sites share exactly the same user database and set of functions. Whilst this is not necessarily problematic, we do think it is a little misleading to sell Black Dating Network as a black dating site, as all of the users that a member of the site could contact are drawn from the regular Tango Wire user database (which is of course, not specific to black users). Subscription to Black Dating Network isn't cheap either, with the shortest duration of membership costing just under $60 for three months. This makes Black Dating Network a little expensive compared to other sites that we have reviewed, though of course, users are still able to access a free trial membership option so that they can check out what the site has to offer in advance of forking out for a subscription.

Despite the lack of specificity to black daters, Black Dating Network does have a great collection of features, which is the least we can expect from a site ran by Tango Wire. Users can complete excellent photo profiles and include an unlimited number of images with which to excite other users and attract them to their profile. We were also impressed that users who don't have digital copies of their photos can send their photographs to Black Dating Network to have them scanned, and returned (and it's all part of the service, with no additional fees!). Black Dating Network supports 5 major world languages, and offers a translation service for mailbox messages that works well (even if it's not 100% accurate in all cases).
