While we liked the 'feel' of Black Date Link, as we felt it did create an atmosphere perfect for online dating, we did think the price was a little too expensive considering the absent features and the relative cost of other sites, rated higher in our reviews.

Users can also send other users messages using the inclusive mailbox feature, which also comes with built in message filtering and contacts list (that is hooked up with your contacts list on the site). Users can also host a gallery of their photographs and control access to teach album through excellent privacy settings. This means that users can open up some of their photos to public viewing, and keep access to others controlled, allowing access only to those who have a 'backstage pass'. Finally, there's also a fantastic set of message boards that allow users to converse on a number of topics, which really adds to the community feel on Black Date Link.

While we did like what Black Date Link had to offer, in terms of the environment that users surfed around in online, we did think that the price was a little over what we would pay considering the features that were absent. Simply put, Black Date Link doesn't rank higher in our reviews because there is no instant messaging service and no video profile option (something that, whilst not extremely common in the online dating industry, does feature in all of those higher in our ratings than this site). There are a few interesting additional features, such as the two-way matching service, and the personality quiz, but we didn't feel that these features really justified the monthly subscription fee being so high. We would certainly advise all our users to shop around and check out other sites in our reviews.
